The first Tandridge Volunteer Fair, which took place at The Arc in Weston Drive Caterham on 17th, and 18th March 2012 was hailed as a great success. The event organized jointly by Tandridge Voluntary Service Council and Mark Jones of Ridge Radio.

Twenty-three local voluntary groups from across the district including Ridge Radio, The Scouts, Surrey Police, SECAmb Community Responders, Surrey Association for Visual Impairment, Tandridge Lions Talking Newspaper, Whyteleafe Helping Hands took the opportunity to showcase their work within the community. Volunteers from the various organisations were on hand to explain what they do and how you as a volunteer could help!

The Annual Caterham & District Carnival took place on Westway Common on Saturday 11th June 2011.

The Carnival Procession started at 1.30 from Croudace office car park travelling along the Godstone Road and Croydon Road to Wapses Lodge roundabout.

The second part of the procession started at 2.45 from Caterham Dene travelling along the High Street up Chaldon Road, along Coulsdon Road before entering Westway and onto the common, where the prize giving takes place.

This year’s winner for The Best float was from Laurels Day Nursery, with Caterham May Queen being Highly Commended.
Best walking Float was The Arc, with Warlingham May Queen and 1st Caterham Scouts being Highly Commended.

The Annual Caterham & District Carnival took place on Westway Common on Saturday 11th June. The proceedings started at 1pm, with the official opening of the carnival.

Jump Theatre School were the first in the arena to entertain the waiting crowds, Zodiac Gymnastics Club followed with old favourites The Essex Dog Display Team doing the first of their two displays.

Following the return of the floats and the prize giving, Caterham UKTA Taekwon-Do School showed off their expertise, The Arc Dance Group were next, followed by the second display by The Essex Dog Display Team,

The Annual Caterham & District Carnival took place on Westway Common on Saturday 11th June with proceedings starting at 1pm and concluding at 5pm with the Grand Draw.

The highlight of the afternoon is always the return of the floats, which have travelled around Caterham for most of the afternoon, followed by the float prize giving.

This years beneficiaries will be The Arc, 8th Caterham Scout Group and Whyteleafe Football Club Youth Section.

The 3rd Caterham Festival, Street Party took place in the High Street and Townend, Caterham on Sunday 29th May 2011.

The now famous Caterham Round Table Boat Races were well supported. The children started the racing with boats from 1st Caterham St Mary’s Scout Group, T.S. Zephyr, The Arc and Ridge Radio.

The adult’s race was as competitive as ever with everyone trying to gain that extra advantage at the start of the race, Pink Sheep Marketing Solutions,  Paramount Website Design and Swift Facility Maintenance Ltd were just some of the local businesses supporting these events.
