The 3rd Caterham Festival, Street Party took place in Caterham High Street on Sunday 29th May 2011. Thousands of people turned out to see local bands, choirs, and individual musicians perform live on 3 stages along the High Street and Townend.
The 5th plinth proved popular with individuals just standing up to sing a song!
Ridge radio the new local radio station were in attendance, while No Name Jive held a Vintage Tea Dance in the Community Centre with a free dance lesson.
There was plenty for the children to do; they could play twister or chess, have their nails painted or try a little juggling with the help of circus performers. A big attraction was the live statue, who entertained both young and old.

At Olivish Restaurant in Caterham High Street, on Monday 26th July 2010 there was an open mike night. Every Monday night now, there is an opportunity for you to perform, either by telling jokes or singing along to the live music provided. If you would like to bring your own instrument and perform you are more than welcome.
George Newman a local comedian entertained diners, as well as a number of local talented singers and musicians; one singer who preformed was on holiday from Australia!
