The Annual Caterham & District Carnival took place on Westway Common on Saturday 11th June 2011.

The Carnival Procession started at 1.30 from Croudace office car park travelling along the Godstone Road and Croydon Road to Wapses Lodge roundabout.

The second part of the procession started at 2.45 from Caterham Dene travelling along the High Street up Chaldon Road, along Coulsdon Road before entering Westway and onto the common, where the prize giving takes place.

This year’s winner for The Best float was from Laurels Day Nursery, with Caterham May Queen being Highly Commended.
Best walking Float was The Arc, with Warlingham May Queen and 1st Caterham Scouts being Highly Commended.

Simply LeRoc celebrated Easter early with an Easter Party at Kenley Memorial Hall in Godstone Road, Kenley on Monday 4th April. Dancers were asked to wear yellow or green for the occasion, which made for a very colourful display. [Read more…]

Whyteleafe hosted its very own singing contest ‘Whyteleafe’s Got Talent’ with the finals being held on 22nd September 2010 at the Whyteleafe Tavern in Godstone Road, Whyteleafe. Landlord Tom Dempsey and his partner Becky, had donated a cash prize of £200 for the winner. [Read more…]

On Saturday 12th June 2010 the Annual Caterham Carnival took place on Westway Common, Caterham on the Hill. The floats make two processions one in Caterham Valley and one on Caterham Hill. The first one, starts at Croudace Office car park in Tupwood Lane before travelling along Godstone Road and Croydon Road to Wapses Lodge Roundabout. [Read more…]
