Members of the congregation of St Mary’s Church in Church Road, Caterham-on-the-Hill, put on a pantomime of Hansel and Gretel in The Emperor’s New Clothes’ on 29th and 30th January 2010 to raise funds towards the cost of a new boiler installed last year at a cost of £10,000.

Many of the cast are family groups, including the Rector with his wife and two sons. This is the 5th pantomime they have preformed and are hoping to beat the £1000 raised at last years pantomime.

Uniformed groups of all ages took part in the Annual Remembrance Day Parade that took place on Sunday 8th November 2009. Ex-Servicemen and Women led the way, following the Marching Band leaving Caterham Ex Serviceman’s Club in Townend, traveling up the High Street, along Church Road to the service at St Mary’s Church, Caterham.

Following the service and laying of the wreaths they marched back to Caterham Ex Serviceman’s Club for refreshments.
