On Sunday 18th September, over 300 people gathered on Godstone Green to take part in the annual Alzheimer’s Memory Walk. Walks were taking place all over the country and at Godstone two distances were available to the walkers who were led off by the Hogsback Chapter of the Harley Owners Group.

Local band Transmission Interrupted entertained the crowds before the start of the walk and on their return Elvis Tribute artist Paul Richie brought the audience to their feet with a great show.

The 1st Caterham Scouts were kept busy providing the refreshments and there was a memory tree for people to attach notes to for whom they were walking for.

Ridge Radio the new radio station for Tandridge celebrated their launch with a Disco in the soft play area of The Arc in Weston Drive, Caterham on Friday 1st April.

Ridge Radio, which now broadcasts from across the car park to The Arc, was the brainchild of Mark Jones, who has encouraged and driven the local community to make this happen. [Read more...]

On 16th September 2010 Martin Vaux Chairman of the Carnival Committee presented the beneficiaries of the 2010 Caterham Carnival, with cheques totalling £2250. [Read more...]

Caterham District Scouts held a St George’s Day Parade on Sunday 25th April 2010. Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorer Scouts, set out from Beechwood Road in Caterham Valley they marched along Croydon Road to Timber Hill Recreation Ground where a service was led by Revd. David Marshall-Jones.

Leaders from 1st Warlingham and 1st Caterham were presented with their Wood Badges during the service.
