Following the Caterham Rotary Bunny Fun Runs on Sunday 28th March 2010 in Queens Park, Caterham, a cake was cut to celebrate the 1st Anniversary of St Catherine’s Hospice providing day care services in Caterham for the people of East Surrey.

Following the closure of Marie Curie Cancer Care hospice in Harestone Valley Road last year, St Catherine’s opened a day care service, in a wing of Dormers in Foxon Lane, Caterham for patients receiving specialised end of life care and for those being cared for at home, a place to meet others at a regular day hospice centre without having to travel too far.

On Saturday 13th March 2010 Chicory Tip came to town. The Village Inn in Coulsdon Road, Caterham played host to the seventies band whose No1 hit “Son of my Father” was in the charts for 13 weeks. They are one of the very few bands from the 70’s still with original band members.

The evening was a great success with £1400 raised towards a new clubhouse to be built at Caterham Pumas, Joliffe Playing Ground, in Fox Lane, Caterham. Construction of the new clubhouse hopes to start this summer.

Caterham Pumas play in the Epsom & Ewell Youth League, they have 12 teams over 9 age groups, from Under 6’s to Under 17’s. You can find more information about the Caterham Pumas on the Caterham Pumas Website
