The Caterham Barracks Community Trust is planning to re-open the new soft play centre and cafe at The Arc, in Weston Drive, Caterham on 13th February 2010. The target date is fundamental to the success of the community share scheme announced by Dick Moran, Chief Executive of the Trust, in December 2009.

Birds of a Feather actress Linda Robson attended the Open Day. Linda proved a big hit signing autographs and having her photograph taken with many locals who had attended.

Children took part in free theatre workshops; dance classes and the soft play area. Mums and Dads relaxed while the children were entertained with balloon modelling or had their faces painted. A display of masks made by pupils from Whyteleafe School were in the gallery.

The Caterham & District Carnival events for the year started with what is becoming an annual event, the darts competition. It took place on 12th February 2010 at The Caterham Ex-Servicemen’s Club in Townend, Caterham.

Sixteen teams of all ages, competed for the coveted cups, ‘Just 4 a Laugh’ were the winners, while ‘Lanky’s Midgets’ were runners-up in the final of the main competition.
